Chris Warmbold watches closely as he sends the ball away Eagles Sparkle To Twelve Win Season The 1984 tennis team completed an incredible winning season, compiling a record of 12 wins, 2 losses. Strong sin- gles were the key to this year’s victo- ries; with first and second singles David Bell and Matt DeFrain, as the co-cap- tains for the team. The younger, less experienced doubles teams showed great potential. Highlights of the sea- son came during the State Regionals, where Bell, DeFrain, and Todd Smith took first place each in singles match- es, while Steve White took a strong second.
