Matthew J. Jacobs Lieutenant Jacobs is a 1994 graduate of University of Colorado, Boulder, with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science. He earned his commission in 1994 through participation in the Navy Reserve Officer Training Corps program. LT Jacobs ' first assignment was Assistant Supply Officer aboard Pre-commissioning Unit COLE (DDG 67) and USS COLE (DDG 67). During a 39-month tour he participated in shipyard planning during the construction phase, Post Delivery Test and Trials (PDT T), and COLE ' s maiden voyage to the Arabian Gulf. He then transferred to Naval Sea Systems Command in Arlington, VA. During an eighteen- month tour, LT Jacobs served as a budget analyst in the Amphibious Ships Program Office (PMS377) while participating in the Business and Financial Management intern program and earning his sub-specialty title of Naval Acquisition Business and Financial Manager. LT Jacobs is currently serving as Supply Officer aboard USS FITZGERALD (DDG 62). His personal decorations include Navy Achievement Medal (Third Award), National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, and Sea Service Deployment Ribbon (Second Award). LT Jacobs is formerly from Somers Point, NJ. He currently resides in Pacific Beach, CA. 40
