BEACON ' 74 FISHER JUNIOR COLLEGE BOSTON, MASSAC HUSSETTS DEDICATION We, the Senior Class of Fisher Junior College, would like to thank Mrs. Bishop for all of the time and care that she has given to open our minds and give us the light of knowledge to recognize truth and wisdom; for being flexible in understanding our personal needs and the unique qualities each of us has. Mrs. Bishop, to us, personifies a wholesome character, and a love for her fellow man, which makes her in every way, a magni- ficent lady. Thank-you, The Class of ' 74 To the Class of 19 74: Everyday brings opportunities to each of us. The quantity and quality of those opportunities are determined by the attention you give to your own understanding of your environment. As the farmer reaps his best harvest from planting seeds in the most fertile ground, so do you in your lifetime find your best rewards, opportuni- ties and joys where you apply your interests and energies in a fertile environment. While you have been students at Fisher Junior Col- lege, a devoted faculty and a concerned staff have made every effort to nourish your devel- opment. They have given attention to your in- terests, to your talents and your goals. It is my hope, and their ' s, that our efforts, com- bined with yours will produce a lifetime of rich harvests, successes, happiness and self-ful- fillment. My admonition to you as you leave your formal education at this college is to con- tinue seeking stimulating environments, rich opportunities and continued knowledge and understanding. Scott A. EDITOR ' S MESS A GE This year the BEACON was able to do much more than what has been done in the past. Thanks to Mr. Toub, our advisor, and Mr. Stewart, a dark room was set up for the school ' s use. Without this, many of the Candids would not have been taken. Much thanks to Julie and Sonja for processing the pictures and Nancy and Roberta for taking them. To Cathy, Maureen, Lynne and Donna, the layouts would never have been finished. Judy, Ann, and Kathy thank you for all the typing that you did. And I can ' t forget Kim who did all the art for us. To Mr. Meehan and Mr. Moody, thank you for letting us in the administration building to work in the staff room. And, of course, Walt and Gail for giving us many of the ideas that helped put this book together. I hope that the 19 74 BEACON is enjoyed by all; we worked hard to make this year ' s book just a little different then before. PHI THETA KAPPA L TO R, ROW 1: L. Czark, S. Goering, S. Fraser, L.
