Fisher College Librai 3 5620 50557569 0 1971 BEACON FISHER JUNIOR COLLEGE BOSTON, MASSACHUSETTS Penney Palisano Susanne Vigneron Co-Editors THE ROAD NOT TAKEN Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim. Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that the passing there Had worn them really about the same, And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I— I took the one less traveled by. And that has made all the difference. ROBERT FROST PRESIDENT ' S MESSAGE Never in the history of formal education has the educational system been so besieged from all quarters with demands for meaning, relevance, practicality, substance, compassion, justice and student recognition. Even our society has had to frantically defend itself and justify its very existence. Traditional standards of living have been put to the test and discarded or reaffirmed. Neither college administrators and faculty nor students have had the luxury of being overlooked. Great credit is due to you who have demonstrated a steadfastness of purpose and unwaveringly pursued the goals you have established. Your two years of college have been the most volatile in American educational history. The enormous turmoil created by student dissent, faculty unrest and collegiate disorientation has forced decisions upon you much earlier than preceding generations. Your scope of knowledge vastly exceeds that of previous graduates due to improvements in educational methods and advances in modern technology. As part of this you are charged with greater responsibihties than your predecessors. The world before you promises new horizons for achievement and you are better equipped to seek those horizons. It is the wish of your friends here at Fisher that you have increasing understanding, discernment and wisdom to help you realize a productive, rewarding and happy life. Scott A. Fisher, President 3 DEDICATION We the class of 1971 dedicate this Beacon to Mr. Thomas Trayers. Mr. Trayers is a dedicated man. He ' s sincere in his profession as a teacher and his actions as a man. He is always willing to share his time with his students. Small wonder he is known as " Tom Terrific " . 4 VIRGINIA ACHER BEVERLY ADAMS Liberal Arts ANN AGARDI Legal Pre- Teaching IRAIMA MARTINEZ A dminisiralive A ssistani DIANA MIFSUD Pre- Teachings ANNE MARIE OBREMSKI Inlernalioniil KATHLEEN McCRACKEN Legal ELLEN MILLER Legal ANNE O ' CONNOR Pre- Teaching DIANE MICKEL Liberal Arts BARBARA MOSHER Executive ROSARIO OSPINO A (Iminisirative A ssistant 16 MARLENE SHEEHAN PAMELA SHORTKROFF CHERYL SMITH Medical Liberal Arts International PAMELA SMITH ROBIN SMITH MARY LEE SPENCELEY Liberal Arts Executive Executive 18 SENIORS NOT PICTURED PATRICIA BONNEAU AUDREY CLUFF VIVIAN D ' ELIA GENIE DEITEL MARY ANNE DeLOSA BARBARA GREENBERG SUSAN HIRST VERA HYRNYK SANDRA KELLEY SHIRLEY MANTALOS PAMELA PADUANO JOAN PERRY PATRICIA ROSTOSKY NADINE RUTMAN JUDITH SARNO LINDA SHELSON KATHRYN WARREN JO ANN WASHEBA WIECHERT 21 22 SENIOR CLASS OFFICERS President W.
