Such a bunch as we were: We numbered twenty nine: Joe Anderson, Danny Arnold, Joyce Arnold, Caroline Bridges, Betty Broadstreet, David Carrico, Royce Cavin, Lorin Coo,er, VTECH Cunningham, Rose allen Huiler, Betty Lou Lawson, Shirley rekilfr Sharon Miller, Gary Newman, Virginia wedding, herschel Robinson, Marvin Ro Juanita Runnells, Onetia Runnells, Cornelia Sears, Linda Shipman, Joyce Sibbitt, Betty Sutrerlin, Richard Thompson, Virginia Trtesdel, Jimmy Walton, Joy ward, Nax Laring, a c Johnny Bob Zeiner e pulled slomly from Freshman station with Ur Smith steering us as engineer Fireman Shirley Yerritt who furnished us with motive power was assisted by Jimmy Walton as assistant fireman Conductor of the group was Joyce Arnold while the b akenar wa Johrny Bob Zeiner On September lOth o r txain vas held no by the sophomore bandits and with the aidof a six volt battery we were shocked into the realization tkat we were now full fledged passengers of F H From time to time our conductor, Joyce Arnold, was seen c rrying on yell five oi our twelve boys battled the oncoming opponent trains by appearing on the oasketball team They were Joe Andersor, Gary Vewman, Herschel Robinson, Narvin Ross and vax Waxing E erything wert on smoothly, for, of course Wren would get there every tire' ith flying colors we pulled in at Sophomore st tion But there N s a sli ht clange of passengers there Joy Ward missed the train and transferred to Stilesvnlle The crew, too, was somewhat different Vr Smith was prllevan by 'r cClecre, and the remainder of the new crew was assistant fireman, G rv Texnan, brakem T, Herschel Robinson, ccrductors, Caroline Bridges and Linda ohipman Fireman Mezr1t+, true and trustworhy, remained at her post As was the custom, we pulled onlo the side track and prepared to hold up the oncoming train driver by the reshman Creerie This being a success, we went tr1u,, 1 + on our way Our only accident during tme year was tO1t we lost Lorin Coopel and Virginia Truesdel 'hile passing through Sophomoreland the sane UB1g 5U battled on the BB floor Joyce Arrold was still Leacnnp yells, assisted by Shirley berritt We sped on over the bCFQ8Po of Sop omoreiand to train were David loo, Virginia Redding, and Jimmy 'altcr.
