Sakahara, Garre, Bulleri, Rose, Mastin Glee Club HIS YEAR brought out some outstandung vocal talent for Fufe Hugh School from the large number of pupuls enrolled un the Glee Club whuch far exceeded that of former years jovual carefree students compose thus group and beung a member of the Clee Club helps make them happuer However do not thunk for a moment that Clee Club us a peruod of fun lce cream and puckles one of Mr Whelans favorute expressuons ullustrates that some deep basses are too far un the cellar or some trullung sopranos up un Seventh Heaven Musuc us one of the pleasant subuects un school and we fund ut rapudly gaun ung favor among the students The furst appearance of the Curls glee club was at the lvlusuc Club s Chrustmas Cantata Chumes of the Holy Nught The Clee Club sang for assemblues furnushed materual for the choruses of the annual operetta and sprung concert and presented the leads for these programs Throughout the year more student talent was un evudence Much credut us due to Mary Ellen Benthuen and Carol Paul who gave theur turne as accom panusts Lous Egrnan acted as student durector durung both semesters of the year The durector Mr Whelan has been pleased wuth the vocal talent and us un hopes of attaunung an A Cappella Chour for next year We suncerely 9 7 hope he wull succeed and the best of luck to the 9 future chour Much credut for the advancement the boys and gurls glee clubs have shown thus year us due to the dulugent drullung and traunung un harmony whuch have made the Glee Club a pleasung group of sungers WHELAN 45-lb! , , . . .
