In this, our 1953 annual, we attempt to record some of the events of the hours we have worked and played together at Ferrum junior College and we hope as you turn these pages you will recall the fellowship experienced here. We hope that you will have a warm feeling of pride when you remember our physical plant here which has grown from one small frame building in 1913, now the home of the farm manager. Through the years one building after another has been added until we now have a campus of which we can well be proud. As you go on to your chosen careers, we hope you will keep in mind the progress that has been made here and remember to: Look npwrzwl at the hi!! that mm! he clinzhezl Today, forgetting lhornx and grief zhnz fnarrhecl The rteepr of ye.1'terfhzy, ax ciriftezl mow IJ' mzrenzenzherezl when the fee! of .rpring Have pfzrrecl . . . Webster, this 1955 edition of T HE BEACON. Into 'her hands has been entrusted the greatest gift we have, our health. She has cared for our physical needs with loving kindness. She has been a mother to every student, never too busy to share our joys and our sorrows. Loved and admired by all who know her, we proudly take this opportunity to show our appreciation to Mrs. Webster.
