Classes of this type are valuable and beneficial in providing an opportunity for boys to build up an industrial background and to get a taste of the de- signing of new ideas. With such training we hope to produce intelligent and patriotic citizens, who will always help to keep America great. PARLEZ VOUS FRANSA1S? very useful and interesting study is found in the foreign anguage classes. The French 1 class, though small, is in- ormal and enjoyable. Much ime is spent in the study of jrammatical constructions and n the reading of an exciting lovel France is not the only land represented by language, for the mother of all tongues Latin, is well established here. The friendly-neighbor policy brings Spanish into full swing in Ferndale High this year with great success. The study of foreign languages, as experienced in our school, needs not be merely technical and formal but also fascinating and practical.
