This was the last season that Coach Pufalt will coach the football team. With him eleven senior letter- men saw their last action when the team lost a heart-breaker to Maplewood, six to nothing, played in two inches of snow. Seven lettermen will return to carry on next year. There were no serious injuries during the season. The high point of the season was the game with University City, the strongest team in the league. ln this game, though, they lost. The Comets put up a good fight: they proved to be a rugged opponent for the strong Univer- sity City Indians. Don Weigel and Dick Bind- beutal were elected co-captains at the beginning of the season.
