In the opening game of the season the Pirates took the field against the Meadow Bridge Wildcats only two regulars returning. Although playing a wonderful game the Pirates went down in defeat With the Wildcats playing an ineligible player the game was later forfeited to F H S September 12 Led by Lyle Hinte the Mount Hope Mustangs proved too much for the Pirates Held to a tie 1 first half, the Mustangs finally started rolling and went on to defeat the Pirates by a 26-6 score September 19 I1 Traveling down to Gauley Bridge the Pirates took on a strong Traveler team which proved much for the Green 81 White team and came out on top by a 19-O score, September 26 to The Pirates went against the Oak Hill Red Devils in their annual tussel a slight underdog, and i September 5 ' YY ' ll ' ' ' ll ' lim ' ' ll ' ll ' 7-O C ' V. - H - ' -Q , ' ' I ' nv vw it - '- ' - , . , .y ..
