Pl-IYLLIS DAVIS KAY AKERS DE LORES GILBERT The Junior High athletics have been cheered on by the Junior High Pepsters Phyllis Carol Davis, who has returned for her third year, Delores Gilbert, Kay Akers, and Kay Pridmore for their first. They have done a wonderful job of cheering their team, whether it was winning, losing, scoring, or lagging behind, they were always with them. Kay Pridmore is the only one who will return next year, while Phyllis, Kay, and Delores will go into their Sophomore year with hopes of becoming varsitycheer- leaders.

That old Pirate fighting spirit has won many agame. The cheerleaders this year consisted of five peppy girls, two of which are Seniors, Thelma Whitlock and Faye Crews. The three Juniors, Anne Barnett, Bar- bara Seay, and Rosemary Gilbert will return next year with others to cheer the Pi- rates on. Miss Joan Miller, in her second year as sponsor of the varsity cheerleaders, has done an outstanding piece of work. She works long and faithfully in practicing the girls each week during the football and basketball seasons. ARA SEAY
