Today the club is open to anyone interested in the Japanese culture and its goals are to serve the community through service projects and to bring about closer rela- tionships among members. The Young Leaves, as their name is translated, started off the year on a happy note as their entry in the Homecoming Motorcade Contest captured first place for them. Encouraged by their success in their first endeavor, the club undertook all their ensuing activities with the same enthusiasm. Banquets and socials were planned throughout the year to add to their fun and enrichment.
