Hui O Hawaii g .ALE x Www! Students with various ethnic back- grounds organized Hui O Hawaii, which means Club of Hawaii. The goals of the club were to devote their time to sharing and creating an understanding among themselves and to be of service to the school and community. They fulfilled their goals by oaroling at different hospitals in December and pro- viding banners for the football games. The members started their year off to- gether with an Oktoberfest at Roosevelt High School and then were kept busy with traditional Swiss Fondue parties, a Fas- ching party, and building of gingerbread houses at Christmas. They also hosted a Maifest at Farrington for all German clubs, culminating it with a banquet. Through these activities, they fulfilled their goals of encouraging students to study the German language, and further- ing the understanding of the German culture.

Other activities the club engaged in were tours of Oahu college campuses, and at- tending cultural events.
