Under the leadership of President Alice Horinouchi, the Student Lovernment under- took many projects that were handled by the various standing committees a pointed by the president with the approval of the adviser. The School and Community Service com- mittee was active this year. The Community Chest, Red Cross, gifts to the childrens' villa e and man other activities kept campus, which was handled by the Campus comnittee. Vast improvement in the cafe- teria was also noted, as shelves and music during the lunch recess were introduced. The major undertaking this year, how- ever, was the annual Farrington Merry-Go- Bound carnival held in March. The entire student body turned out and helped put over this carnival, whether it was selling tickets, entering the jalopy parade, participating in shows, or working in con- cession booths.
