aid'-10 1--J in n , ., 34- .4 - ,-'1t It was a disappointed Farrington student body that saw a determined and fighting Blue and White from Kapalama Heights defeat the highly-touted Governor eleven, 6 to 0. Boy Hiram was practically the whole team for Kamehameha as he broke up nearly every Farrington play and intercepted passes which would have meant touchdowns. Farrington kept the Warriors from running away with the game by submitting to Kam for only one touchdown. Kun, on the other hand, prevented the Ma- roon and White gridders fr etting within scoring distance by ing Farrington to penetrate no farth an the 32-yard stripe. ovs O Gm The clawing Tigers of McKinley went to work and defeated a Governor eleven that was hit hard by an epidanic of colds. Not showing the form they displayed in defeating Punahou, Farrington scored only me touchdown to be on the short end of a 21 to 6 score. The Governors' score came when Dick Tamai climaxed a run of 20 yards by going over from the two on a quarterback sneak. The great Mick line charged through all day and stopped Farrington from scoring either on passing or running plays. Showing well in the game were linemen Wil- fred Keola, James Torikawa, Thomas Goo, Wal- lace Kimg and backs Richard Mendez Richard Tamai, Reynold Matsuo, Willian Kaae, and Leo- nard Mau. v ' if vm ovs 6, 'mckinleq 21 'V' ff- 'wwf' f-si',av,:,sr,,s11:? :f.zw 75-T'-T H- ,, fi?
