The Farrington student government, an organization based on the ideals and principles of democracy, fulfilled its purpose of promoting the welfare of Farrington High School and its community. By adopting and enforcing new laws and policies, the student government progressed under the able leadership of Donald Fujimoto, president, and of the capable guidance of Miss Cunningham, advisor. Successful drives such as the community chest, Red Cross, Christmas seals and march of dimes were carried out by the School and Community Service committee with the cooperation of the student body. Other committees, through their tireless efforts worked together with the student government to render their services to the school and community. Waiting for the bell. Is there a motion? TA The Farrington Court aids students to correct their habits by sharing responsibilities of main- taining discipline in school activities. Respect for law and constituted authority is encouraged by the court. A new court system called the Court Commis- sions was adopted this year. It was composed of nine commissioners, who acted as judge, lawyers and jury. Informal sessions were held once a week. The Lisrenj ng at the h - eating, Commission emphasizes correction rather than punishment. The court commission was composed of three seniors, Edward Mashima Cchairmanh, Glenn Hara, George Hiratag three juniors, Mildred Nakahara, Hannah Rapozo, Gordon Kushimaejog three sophomores, Catherine Tai Hook, Judith Kokata, Kazuyoshi Nishiyamag clerk, Lagrimas Maanog stenographer, Nancy Oya, and adviser, Mr. Isamu Miyoshi.
