l . X Kosvnow Mi' With more than 50 interested young lads turn- ing out for the jr. Basketball squad, 15 were picked for the team. Mr. Henry Kusunoki was at the coaching reign again, and again he molded a bunch of first year boys into an undefeated championship quintet. This was the second consecutive year that Mr. Kusunoki led the boys into that top position. Samuel Pacarro, Clifford Char, Rikio Izumi, Harold Imasaka and William Lee returned from last year's championship five. In winning the JU 1oR BASKETB LL crown, the squad learned that team work was the main factor in their title go. First year boys like Daniel Kanno and Clarence Camara and Samuel Pacarro were brought up into the senior team for the Round-Robin Series. Mr. Kusunoki spent much time and effort on this team for he called for practice every day of the week except Sundays. High Honors are given to Mr. Kusunoki for his great work. The Maroon five won 9 straight games with no losses. Hail the CHAMPS! Great Work Boys! FIRST ROW: Henry Papa, Frank Kiriu, Rikio Izumi, Harold lmasaka. H 5 ..,. fn f 7 r! mwafs Senior Mr. Hajime Suga coached the Senior Base- ball nine for the second straight season and he did a very good work on the team with james Chee as the manager. Practicing daily on the field, the team showed champ- ionship caliber in their pre-season games. With seven letter-men bolstering the nine, the team was well balanced.
