Club Under the advisorship of Mrs. Peggy Young, 85 enthusiastic Farringtonians aspired to further their knowledge in Chemistry. Experiments, demonstrations, movies, discussions and lectures, and excursions were promoted. Places visited included the Uni- versity of Hawaii experiment sta- tion, Hawaiian Pineapple Ion Exchange Plant, and the Fertilizer Company. Social activities included a pic- nic, a Christmas party, a hike to Sacred falls, and a formal dinner party. As part of the club's welfare program, paper leis were made for the Red Cross project. Ollicers were president, Dwight Sumidag vice-president, Francis Nakayamag secretary, Edith Koideg and treasurer, Paul Shimo- kochi. My-the poor oranges. How they must suller.
