Ora- torical Contest this year, Excerpts from her Winning oration, This Word Freedom, follow: ls freedom really Worth fighting for? l don't have to tell you about how the early pioneers of our country fought for it. Today on the far- flung battlefields of this War, Americans are , again fighting for it. Many of them have al- ready paid the supreme sacrifice. Our brave men realize that they have something Worth de- fending, something that should command the undivided allegiance of every true American. That something is our priceless heritage, our democratic Way of life. This war for freedom is far from Won. All that We know is that this War must be Won.
