Forever looking at the brighter side of life, Louise is ready to sympathize with anyone over anything. As one of the hardest workers in the senior class, Louise has earned her splendid grades with determination. She has held the honor of being a marshal all three years and was co-chief in her third year. As she is cooperative, courteous, and considerate, she has been a real contribution to her class — one who wants to get things done right. Here ' s to her sure success! Personality + curly red hair - height + leadershi p + girls - " Red. " His favorite pastime is work. " It fascinates me, " Kenneth says, " I can sit and look at it for hours. " All kidding aside, as a grand boy, Kenneth runs second to no one. Never one to take any situation calmly, Kenneth always goes into any job with the greatest enthusiasm and ex- citement. Kenneth has presided over his class as President for the past three years. His leadership also included being President of the Athletic Association. When the class goes forth for better things, those who remain will notice a void— the space which " Red " has left. Outstanding Seniors . . . Seniors Outstanding Outstanding ROBERT WINSTON BASS No, here ' s not one of the seven wonders of the world, nor the eighth, but even more— here ' s " Bass. " Bobby is the little guy with the big heart. In recognition of his integrity and sense of responsiblity, he was elected Student Government President, the highest honor a student can attain. In this position he has done a splendid job. He is also President of the Key Club. Although this work has taken much time, Bobby has managed to participate not only in the Marching Band, but in the Dance Band as well. Habitually number one in grades, and at least that high in the opinion of his classmates, he will be a great suc- cess wherever he goes. MELVIN LEROY GAY, JR. " Hey, you, speed limit twenty miles per hour, " is a familiar voice we hear since Melvin has become very familiar to many students by acting as a hall monitor during lunch periods. Though he is quiet and quite shy he is always willing when duty calls. In his sophomore year, Melvin was elected Homecoming King. He worked tirelessly on projects to raise money for his election. He has been a member of several clubs and plays basketball. Aside from his school work, Melvin has served his church youth group by being its president. As Melvin departs from " these hallowed halls, " he will be remembered as a very conscientious, hard working student. Seniors FRANCES MARION ALLEN As her nickname, " Honeybee, " implies, Marion is busy as a bee and sweet as honey. Whenever there ' s a job to be done, an errand to be run, or just a few comforting words to brighten someone ' s mood, Marion can always be counted on to do her best. During her four years of high school, Marion has reigned as Homecoming Queen, served as an SGA officer, and Head Cheerleader. She has also held other positions of high standing— too numerous to name. Being level- headed, sincere, friendly, studious, talkative, and active, it is no wonder that she was elected Best-All- Round by her fellow classmates. Marion will be found doing her best in whatever field her career leads. WINFIELD DONAT, III " Smile pretty now, one-two-three-snap! Let ' s take another one just to make sure. " No matter what the day, the time, or the place. Win and his camera is a familiar sight. Proving himself capable to such a position, Win was selected as editor of the NEWS ' N ' VIEWS. Working diligently not only as editor but doubling as photographer, getting the papers out on time and all the pictures taken make him an extremely active student. Win is also Photo Editor of the ARCHWAY. He also plays basketball on the Varsity squad. Win ' s good looks, persistency, humor, and camera will be sure to attain success wherever his pathway leads.
