Eldon Lahann Q ' Q Elmer Mitchell Dick Hamilton, Vice Pres lb ""'.k 'LTV 'ix ,Niv- Q1 '7' GKQSNWWWWWU Class History It was September in l940 when thirteen smiling children walked into Mrs Bonar s first grade room at Fargo School to enroll for their first year in school They were Clyde Chapman Amelia Feil Velda Fenimore Leon Hamaker Duane Latta Luella Hughes Eldon Lahann Harold Hamaker Jack Norman Rex McQueary Eugene Meier Gary Sherwood and Thaine Schickedanz At the second semester we were Joined by Donald and George Carpenter Gary Sherwood moved away during this year The next year we were Joined by Charles Lanham from Eufala Texas Nancy Huen and Leo Morgan from Harmon and Jimmie Leatherman and Herbert Ray Murray Leo Morgan was severely injured in an accident when he was struck by an automobile Just after he had emerged from the school bus He was hospitalized for some t1me and we were forced to leave him in the third grade Clyde Chapman moved during the second semester Dora Lee Keltch was a member of the class for a short time during the year Leona May Morrison Edward O Neal and Lela Faye Thompson Rex McQueary Norma Leatherman and Terry Hoisington left at the end of the school year ln the fifth grade we were Joined by Leon Hutchison George Huenergardt Alvin Lochmann Zella Ross and Delores Nlae Stricker This year Wyvonne Fox moved to Arnett and Jimmie Leatherman moved to Texas We received no additions the sixth year but Donald Erman Leona Ivlae Morrison and Edward O Neal all moved Zella Ross moved at the end of the seventh year In the eighth year we lost two more Eugene Sunderland moved to Supply and Alvin Lochmann quit school During freshman year Jimmie Leatherman returned from Texas but we suffered the loss of Mae Stricker who moved to Arnett When we were Sophomores we retained all the starting pupils and were also Joined by comedian Donald Windecker who did much to enliven tht ye ar Don moved to Arkansas at the end of the year Of the nine students who began tne Junior year Harold rlamaker and Jlmmie Leatherman quit during the first semester Velda Fenimore moved to V'-oodward and Dick Hamilton came from Shawnee This our senior year we were Joined by Elmer Mitchell from Manitou Colorado making eight of us The graduating class xncludes Amelia Feil Luella Hughes Dick Hamilton Elmer Mitchell Duane Latta Charles Lanham Eugene Meier 'and Eldon Lahann who will march up the aisle to receive diplomas signifying an end of twelve years work companionship and fun and the beginning of another phase of life Compliments of Compliments oi WILSON MOTOR 81 EQUIPMENT CO STEADMAN IMPLEMENT CO Woodward Oklahoma Shattuck Oklahoma 9 ,Q ff .v B ,A i f 5' Q , I I H X- '1 cf' X J, K ,rl V1 "wk XXX ' C Y php I , . . . .
