Haviig completed our freshman year with sumo si' nz of success. we were nevertheless re- l'eved an.l happy when we became sophomores without serious mishap As our class officers Tom Rose was elected president Bill Albright vice president Paul Clausen secretary treas urer Continuing our vigorous participation in activiti s Alice Williams Gloria Sanchez Joan Bader Grace Clark Mary Taylor Jean Ann Spaulding and Ella Kjeldsen received gym awaids Frank Carver Donald Goltz and Bill Far mer received letter awards in track B111 Far mer also lettered in basketball The sophomore year was more or less com- pleted with the participation of numerous members of the class in the District Music Con- test at Auburn. Finally becoming upper classmen we chose Richard Jones as president of our class' Roman Fleskoski vice president' Barbara Shields secretary-treasurer. A succes ful play entitled Girl Shy was presented on the evening of December 5 by the Junior class under the direction of Mrs. Shir- ley Carney. Members of the cast were Frank Carver, Roman Fleskoski, Marjorie Herbster, Barbara Martin, Sara Prichard. Tom Rose, Joan Sargent, Barbara Shields, Bob Simpson Wilma hiaclerson, Howard Ulin, and Hobart Wiltse. Receiving football letters at the close of the sea'on were Bill Albright, Bennie Bearce Frank Carver, Paul Clausen, Bill Dykes and Bill Farmer, John Thompson, Kenneth Hamm and Bob Simpson. Basketball letters were giv- en to Bill Albright. Bill Farmer, Bill Dykes, and Dick Heineman. It addition to Barbara Martin, students having served as cheer leaders were Gloria Sanchez, Joan Sargent and Roger Cox.
