During the past year, the Glee Club participated in two county choral festivals. Most important, they felt, were their appearances before the student body. Fallbrook's Glee Club was one of the many schools which took part in the San Diego County Choral Festival. This was one event in which our singers received a rating. lt was at the Grossmont County Choral Festival that out Glee Club, singing with other groups, was led by a famous director. With candles and yuletime songs, the Glee Club helped put their classmates in the Christmas spirit. The Glee Club also did its part to make the Spring Music Festival the success it was. The officers' tripto Northern California during the summer pre- ceding the opening of school started off a busy year for the F . F .A . The Chapter Farm initiation, which was held this year at Escondido, was followed by the entry of Harold Wilson's steer in the Great Western Live Stock Show. The entrance of this steer was the first to be made by the Fallbrook Chapter. lt will not be the last since Harold received a calfto be shown at nextyear's show. Fallbrook was represented in five iudging contests this year which took the boys as far north as San Luis Obispo. ln addition to representing their school at the State Convention, Walter Amsler and Harold Wilson received their State Farmer Degrees. ln January there was the Father-Son Banquet giving the fathers an opportunity for fellowship as well as information about what their sons were accomplishing. Perhaps one of the most lookedforward to events of the year was the Bar-B-Q at which time hard-earned awards were given outand the suspense as to which boy would receive the California Bankers award was over.
