The team competed three times in the Northern Counties Debating Tournament. After winning the first two debates they went into final competition and became the victor over Enterprise High School in Redding. Joan Donning and Wynston Jones represented Fall River as the two debaters under the direction of Mr. Beagle.

During the cold and windy night of our homecoming game, the varsityboys wore three inch black bands around their arms. This was because Homecoming was dedicated to a well liked senior boy, Nicky Parton. He passed away on October 19, 1959, due to a heart con- dition. Although we were defeatedby Trinity 27-0, this score was better than last year's 74-0.
