As we, the graduating class, entered the main building six years ago, we found ourselves sur- rounded by new-found friends and helpful teachers who made our first years easier. Now as we prepare to go forth into a different kind of life, we realize the importance of these past six years and the lessons they have taught us. May you who read this. your book, always bring honor to your school and ours. O . n..'. I IN MEMORIAM Everyone in the Falconer Central School System was greatly saddened by the sudden death of Justine Ann Miller, who died April 25, 1955, in a Jamestown Hospital after only one week of illness. Justine was born February 10, 1940 in Buffalo, N. Y. and moved into the Falconer area in 1948. As she resided on the Falconer- Kim- ball Stand Road, she attended the Ross Mills School until 1951, when she entered the Central High School as a student in the seventh grade. Justine's fine, agreeable nature made her a friend to all, students and teachers alike. Her memory will be an inspiration to all who have known her. as-at , at 'lr ,tt fir- 2 Row One: M. Rigby M. THE BOARD OF EDUCATION The Board of Education, in terms of this year's nautical theme, may be said to be the 'big wheel' which keeps our school system running smoothly. Each civic-minded, elected member might be compared to a 'spoke' in this wheel. Although the import- ance of each spoke to the whole wheel is apparent, its work is often overlooked in speaking collectively of 'the board' Each member gives his valuable time and energy to provide us with a good, efficient educational program. To the Board belongs the task of formulating the policies on which our school system is based, maintaining a faculty, approving the budget, and numerous other duties which go into the making of an effective school system. The only compensation that these hard-working men and women ever get for their services is the satisfaction of seeing us, the students, making the best of the opportunities which they provide, both now and in the future as good citizens. -ex as ,as 3-54 2' We ,gtg sgffigig MW 1 .
