SENIOR POEM It ' s graduation and it ' s unbelievable that I ' m here. They ' ll call my name in a few minutes, and I ' ll walk up to receive my diploma . . . where do I go from here? I ' ve always had the security of the school routine and its activities, sunounded by the friends I was so familiar with. Now we ' ll all be going in different directions, and I wonder how long it will be before the memories that meant so much start to fade. After twelve years of this you would think I would be ready to move on, but I feel like I ' m leaving a part of me behind. Maybe that ' s good though, because 1 really have changed in the three years that I ' ve been here. Well, pretty soon they ' ll get to my name. Then III be up there, and it ' ll be all over. In a way, I guess every- thing ' s really just beginning. 18
