We are the orugunal Suamese twun class there are two of us' True
we have been duvuded and reunuted at least twuce and the twuns stayed 0
gether untul they dued However we thunk we merut the tutle because there
are very decudedly two parts to our class ln fact we had to wrute two class
hustorues and guve you furst
CLASS HISTORY OF PART I
The sun shone brughtly on that never to be forgotten September morn
unq when we the future senrors of Hardung s Class of 39 walked proudly
besude our older susters and brothers to enter hugh school' Thus was the thung
we had wauted for so long' We were placed under the guldance of Mrs Far
mer and wuth her passed that furst excutung stage of our hugh school lrfe' It
took us a long tume to recover from the fact that we could have our own
lockers and gym twuce a week'
Summer vacatuon was soon over and we went back to our second year
of hugh school Prouder stull for we were Freshmen' That fall our class
was duvuded when we were uouned by the students from St Anthony s Some
of us went to Mr Boley un Room I6 and the others to Mr Mereduth un Room
I5 lt was un our Freshman year that we had such battles over the cup
competutuon Once ut happened that the dummy block had to be hung
between the two rooms because both Room I5 and Room I6 had too many
red marks lt was grand fun though and our two teachers showed us some
gloruous tumes wuth theur partues and pucnucs
Mrs Farmer s care wuth Room 8 located on the second floor as our home
room lThe nearer we came to furst floor the prouder we became I Mrs
Farmer surely proved to be a wonderful teacher and fruend
Funally we became Junuors and made the furst floor at last' Now came
the funal schusm when the Suamese twun class became two separate organusms
for the remaunder of hugh school Our part of the class was placed un Room
4 wuth Muss Paxton the new commercual teacher The other part Part 2
occupued Room 6 wuth Mr Dunnurug Wuth these two teachers we went
through our uolly Junuor year hugh lughts of whuch were the Junuor class play
the choosung of our rungs and our furst Junuor Senuor Prom
Funally the fall of l938 rolled around and we were senuors' However,
we were slughtly dusappounted because we had to sut behund Room One Ithe
mud yearsl un chapel We even went so far as to sugn a petutuon demand
unq what we called our rughts lt wasnt untul the second semester how
ever, that Room One had to move back and guve up theur front seats to
Room Two The Senuor Class play was guven un May then came our class
pucnuc the prom and funally commencement We receaved our duplomas
and wuth somewhat sad feelungs bade farewell to our teachers and to those
gloruous hugh school days forever Wuth a hope faunt but authentuc, un our
hearts and a gleam un our eyes we began to take part un the work of the

CLASS HISTORY OF PART Il
FY ROS? lSTlRl-'AY
When we fsrst entered l-lardsng l-lsgh Schools portals we were greeted
by Msss Corey lt was through her gusdance that we passed our fsrst msle
stone Chapel programs were new to us and we began to look forward to
them wsth eager antscspatuon especsally ssnce they relseved us of classes
As the weeks passed we became ressgned to the fact that three msnutes ss
suffscsent tsme to go from one class to another and that st ss not necessary
From Msss Corey s room we moved Into Mr Brown s room and became
nature conscsous lt was at thss posnt that we began to learn l-low to
Study Effectsvely Our class party held sn the Home Economscs room was
the socsal event of the freshman year for us We also began our streak of
cup competstson wsnnsnq at thss tsme
We occupsed Mr Msnsster s room when we became sophomores Now
we had one less set of stasrs to clsmb' lt was dursng thss year that we be
came elsgsble to attend the school dances Mr Carmen dssmsssed our class
whenever Mr Msnsster was detasned by hss athletsc actsvstses Several new
members were admstted to our class also at the begsnnsng of thss year
We thought that we really were somebody when we became sunsors
Mr Dunnsnq was our patsent supervssor and st was under his and MISS Pax
ton s dsrectson that we rassed enough money to put on a prom for the sensors
To do thss we sold hot dogs and candy at the football games and presented
the Junsor Class Play which by the way was a mystery Came the sprung
and each sunny day Increased In length at least an hour'
When September l938 arrsved we were Sensors grand and glorsous'
Dsdn t our heads swell just a lsttle but? Not the least of our advantages
were our front seats sn chapel much to the dssmay of Part l But our soy
was not long lsved for near the end of the fsrst semester we had to turn
over the seats to them As sensors our part of the graduatsng class was
gusded by Mrs Patch and the other by Mr Carl Wsllsams l-lsghlsghts of
our last year were the Sensor Class Play the Sprsng Prom Class Pscnsc
the taksng of our psctures and the varsous athletsc events As Commence
ment Day approached st was wsth a certasn reluctance that we bade adseu
to teachers and frsends
So we departed through the gates we had entered a lsttle rscher sn
expersence and knowledge No matter how much or how lsttle we may have
gasned sn knowledge, we are all rsch sn memorses of school days and school

For An Autograph
Though old the thought and att expressed,
'Tis his at last who says it luest
l'll try my fortune with the rest,
Lite is a leat at paper white
Whereorw each one ot as may write
His word or two, and then comes night
"Lo, time and space enough," we cry,
"To write an epicl" so we try
Oar nibs upon the edge, and die
Mase not which way the pen 'ro hold,
Lack hates the slow and loves the bold,
Soon come the darkness and the cold.
Greatly begin' though thou have time
Bat tor a line, be that sablimef
Not tailare, but low aim, is crime,
Ah with what Iotty hope we comel
Bat we target it dream ot 'fame
And scrawl as l do here a name
