Lynne Wagner shows surprise when named the accepts the crown, scepter and red roses as I968 Homecoming Queen. while She proudly she reigns over the weelm-end testivities. Dancing to the music ot The Stumps, I968 Nick Becker, ioins the other West students, Homecoming Queen Lynne Wagner, escorted by alumni, and taculty in enioying a new idea '68 Homecoming fills two days- a first at West For the tirst time invhistory the I968 Homecoming events extended over a two-day period with the tootball game with Wayne on Friday and the tradi- tional dance on Saturday night. Up, Up, and Away, I968 theme, showed visibly on taces ot the enthusi- astic students and alumni as they partici- pated in the annual Homecoming event. Dancing to The Stripper, played by West's Marching Band, Rythmettes add- ed to the halt-time ceremonies making this a highlight ot the evening. As students, alumni, parents and tacul- ty tocused their attention on the Student Council President Jaclc Horrell, the long- awaited moment arrived. Lynne Wagner reigned as the I968 Homecoming Queen. Barb Geatty, the I967 Queen, returned home to crown Lynne. Presentation ot bracelets to toreign exchange students Gunvar Lahr and Nina Bourdery on behalt ot the student body added a highlight to the already enioy- able evening. Student Council also gave the I'-768 Queen a bracelet. this year ot having the Homecoming events extend over a two-day celebration period.
