the counselors, our guiding lights Fairmont owes much of its spirit to the work of our counselors. Howard Flatter strives tor outstanding achievement in the testing program which includes coaching the Senior and district scholarship teams. Mr. Flatter is assistant principal and boys counselor. He also teaches in the Personality Adjustment course and advises Torch and Keystone, National Honor Society. Very few people could leave the halls of Fairmont without having been influenced by Mrs. Mary Githens' smile. Besides teaching in the Personality Ad- justment course, she helps the girls with their college and vocational problems and is always willing to help Sophomore and junior girls with their schedules and personal problems. She also assists the scholarship program.

Standing and searching the shelves are Mrs. Ann Adman, English and Dragon Tales, Richard Sultzbach, English, Guidance, Boys counselor, and Zeta Chi Hi-Yg Eugene Smith, English, Debate, Speech, and Assembly Com- mittee, Miss Christinia Whal, English, junior class, and Cheerleaders, and Mrs. Hulda Smith, English and Annual adviser. Miss Miriam Wilson is our school librarian and director of the bookstore. She helps advise the Senior Y-Teens and Prom committee.
