KAPPA GAMMA, debate honorary, is a branch of the Forensics Society. The honorary is open to those college de- baters who have participated with skill in a minimum of five rounds of intercol- legiate debate. Forensics Society officers must have qualified for membership in Kappa Gamma. FORENSICS SOCIETY at FSC was or- ganized to promote • and encourage for- ensics activity, specifically debate, oratory and extemperaneous speaking. They aim to encourage speaking about significant current international questions and inter- collegiate forensics competition. Members must be FSC students and must maintain a 2.0 average. Advisers are Suzanne Snyder, assistant professor in speech, and Michael Over- king, speech and drama instructor. Out-of-town students at Fairmont State College are given the opportunity to live in college or privately-owned dormitories and apartments. Girls live in North Hall, Morrow Hall, Morgan Hall, Garden Lanes Apartments A, B, C, D, and the recently completed Garden Lanes Apartment G. Boys reside in Pence Hall and Garden Lanes Apartments E-F. Officers are elected by the residents to serve in a social capacity, and counselors are hired by the college. 21

Row 2: Bill Lewis, Daniel K. Weber, adviser. MASQUERS consists of three main divi- sions. Masquers proper sponsors four ma- jor productions with tryouts open to the student body. Children ' s Division of Mas- quers holds one play a semester for Marion County youth. Town and Gown Players, organized in 1961, presents four produc- tions during the summer. ALPHA PSI OMEGA, national dramatics honorary, was founded in 1925 by Dr. Paul Opp. Alpha Chapter promotes interest in dramatic productions. Members are chosen through their participation and enthusiasm in dramatics.
