BLAZERS is a local Senior Women ' s Honorary organiza- tion founded in 1947. Each spring outstanding junior wo- men are selected on the basis of scholarship, leadership, in- tegrity, and loyalty to the college. FLAMES, Junior Women ' s Honorary, was organized in 1966 for the purpose of hon- oring junior women who have shown outstanding leadership, character, and service to the college and have maintained at least a 2.8 grade average. BLAZERS — Carol Pries+er, vice president; Patty Vandergrift, president; Charie Thralls, secretary; Donna Gabriel, treasurer. Outstanding Women FLAMES — Susan Bennett, Chris Bundy, president; Linda Bertwell, secretary- treasurer; Linda Hamilton; not pictured, Karen Shannon, Beverly Phelps, and Anita Busch. STUDENT COUNCIL, governing body of FSC students, consists of five student body officers, fourteen representatives from the classes and or- ganizations, and a faculty sponsor, George H. Turley, appointed by the president of the college. WHO ' S WHO includes outstanding students who have shown scholarship, participation, leadership in academic and extracurricular activities, citizen- ship, and service to the school. They are chosen once a year by an impartial council of seven juniors and sophomores, and six faculty members. Selected members are listed in Who ' s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities.
