Until this year "Le Cercle Francais" has not been very active but now the members of the club have undertaken the project of supporting a French war orphan. They have decided that this is a means of expressing their sympathy and interest in the welfare of the people whose language they are studying. Though the expense is not great, they are sending enough money to support an eleven-year old girl for one year.

The Red Cross Council under the able leadership of Kiss Hagood has been active this year. To start the ball rolling a drive was started to fill Red Cross boxes for orphan children in foreign countries. These boxes were filled with toys, tooth paste, tooth brushes, and modeling clay. The Red Cross received several letters from the children who received these boxes. Another project was the making and filling veterans' bags for the Veterans' Hospitals. Students made the bags and the Red Cross Council filled them. These bags were filled with books, shoe polish, soap, handkerchiefs, tooth brushes, etc.
