The governing body decided upon was a student council, composed of representatives of all the home rooms and the throe officers of the student body. Even though they haven't accomplished a troDondous amount this year, they have laid the foundation for future otudont bodies to make student government work for the betterment of all those concerned. ALLEN SMITHER1UN •DUMLIE ------BACK Allen was the poworhouse in our back field and the best line backer we had. Although Allen was the biggest non on the squad he could really run. Hiifl year, as the teams before them, the Fairfield Tigers played a clean, hard brand of ball. Even though wo lost several key men to tho armed forces and the war cut down transportation and necessitated numerous other changes. Coach always found a wuy to carry on as if it were a normal year. The team this year was not always a winning one, losing three--winning five, but thanks to the loyal support of band, cheerleaders, student body, faculty members, and other Fairfield supporters, it was always a fighting one. After one exciting year Henry was chosen to lead the cheerleaders the following year. Again this season he continued his excellent coral-building from the sidelines. After serving three years as a top-notch lung-buster, Louise became quite a veteran. Her absenoe noxt year will bo a great loss. Although this was his first year as a cheerleader, everyone realizod his ability of yelling. We rogret that he will not roturr. next year. Blondie is one of tho first freshman cheorleadors we've had at ole P. H. S. But she more than fulfilled her duty.
