'-.- ' 41 SENIOR CLASS HISTORY As 1 view the past, webf the Senior Class recall our memories of the twelve years at Fairfield. We recall the initial memory of entering the first grade, where we started our first wobbly steps toward our education with Miss Albright, in the fall of 1942. Then in second grade under the guidance of Miss Bierman, we added knowledge which would help us in third rad Mis' P ' ' s ed to our next step into the fourth grade. In fourth grade, Miss Eberhardt taught us how to add.. Our fifth year, Miss Blosser guided us to the other side of the building for our playground. e sixti year, with Miss Schwab's guidance, we entered the seventh grade, and our first year in junior High. There, with Mr. Cole as our home room teacher, we were introduced to the changing of classes. The first chance for the boys to go out for basketball came in their seventh year. In eighth grade Mr. Kuhlman greeted us. By then we were used to the changing of the classes. Then we passed from the eighth grade to the ninth grade. Miss D was our home room teacher in our Freshman year. With the initiation welcoming us into high school, we elected our first officers as follows: President-Kenneth Garrod: Vice President-Dorothy Esenweing Treasurer-George Kyser: Secretary-Joann Little. ln Tenth Grade, Miss Greenisen helped us initiate the Freshmen. We saw our a s com'1 to ' end, too. As class officers we elected: President-Kenneth Garrod: Vice President-Dorothy Esenweing rea -james Russell. The junior year, with Miss Cherdron as our home room teacher, the junior Play, The Adorable Imp was successful for our class. With the High School Teachers help we presented the Prom for the Seniors. We also received our class rings in our junior year. Our officers were: President- -Iames Russell: Vice President-Dorothy Esenwein: Secretary-Twila Barth- olow. Mr. Murphy, as our home room teacher, w c us into the Senior Class in the fall of l953. He helped us in publishing the Black and White and also the yearly school annual. All the Seniors were looking forward to the annual Senior Trip. Senior officers were: President-Dorothy Esenwein: 1 e President-james Russell: Treasurer-Paul Farmer, Secretary-Carole Morlan. After we have left Fairfield we will always remember how our teachers and parents made possible our education and a t e tr nd ha iness we had shared together in those twelve years at Fairfield High. -Kenneth Workman ...D -.-cl .1 , -i 4 ' 'lf A -, .f ,
