T716 GIEIIRTEQSGIIF CLASS PROPHECY It was in 1967 that Dave Barth and Albert Blosser were asked to take the census of the United States and so they were given a helicopter in which they could travel about the United States. On their way they decided to take the time to stop and visit with each of their former classmates of the class of 1947. They found each of their classmates doing the following thing: Eugene Beckett is now the greatest nuclear physicist. He is president of the Atomic Energy Commission. Eugene is directing production of atomic bombs which will hatch chickens in one day. Howard Bauman has Hnally worked his way up to the position of secretary to the President of the United States. Howard has lost his cast but has also gained a wife. Verjean Chamberlain is Mrs. Larry Bable. She and Larry are living in East Fairfield. They have twins named Lee and Lynn. Verjean has handed her job of cleaning eggs down to the twins. Dorothy DeRhodes is Mrs. Thomas Hess and they are at present living in Cleveland. Tom has received another degree in missionary work. They are now waiting for Tom's call to missionary work in China. Zelma Dyke is the worldis greatest roller skater. She and her husband own a string of skating rinks all over the world. Zelma turned down a contract to tour Europe so that she could spend more time teaching her small daughter to skate. Thelma Dyke is director of the Firestone Recreation Centers of the United States and Europe. She has her own private plane by which she travels to the different parts of the world so that she can see that all the recreation halls are being run correctly. Dorothy Ewing is Mrs. Burns Chamberlain. They have two children named Cheryl and Gary. Pete is now sheriff of Mahoning County. Dorothy often helps Pete with his work. Mary Firestone is now owner of a photo and painting studio. It is called Lucinda's Fixer-Upper Shop. Her work is known the nation over but she srill doesn't charge her classmates for work she does for them. Donna Hamilton is now head nurse at Salem City Hospital. In her spare time she is trying to find a mechanical way to burp a baby. Ellis Hawkins is now the owner of the Hawkinis Greenhouses which are located all over the United States. By the way Ellis has never married because he is too busy experimenting with his plants. Donna Lamoncha is working in the Sea Hat Shoppee in New Waterford. Donna has found a way to petrify fruit so that they can put the real thing on hats. Clara Miller is teaching third grade at good F.H.S. Clara had a chance to teach at one of the best schools in the United States but she turned the offer clown. Rudy Rodrick has just won the title of the fastest talking man in the world. He is now teaching in the American College in Alaska. Lee Taylor is now driving trucks for the All Over the United States Trucking Co. Lee guarantees quick and reliable service. Dorothy Toot is studying art in Europe. Her paintings are being exhibited in the New York Art Museum. Gloria Yarian is an airline hostess for American Airlines. Her husband is the pilot on the plane of which she is an airline hostess. Lawrence Waters is the owner of the Deere-Allis Tractor factory. Lawrence still likes to argue about which is the better tractor. And last but not least Albert Blosser and Dave Barth now own one of the largest farms in Ohio. Albert and Dave came. back from their trip very glad that they had taken the time out from their farming so that they could visit their friends. Page 24
