Spirit Feeling Homecoming conr. pirits undaunted by the previous night's loss, Homecoming couples headed for the commons and A Cherished Night! Sponsored by Student Congress, the traditional Homecoming dance was held on Saturday night after the game. Prior to the dance couples enjoyed everything from home cooked meals to dinner at Red Lobster, Grubsteak. or the Stockyards Inn. But the real highlight of the evening wasn't nec- essarily where they ate, but the ex- citement of the dance. Filled with excitement and dressed in anything from their Sunday best to casual dresses, sweaters to suits topped off with hats, couples first noticed the table decorations. Baby jars wrapped in burlap with bows and dried flowers accented the tables. The scenery was perfect for the theme A Cherished Night.' I think Student Congress did a great job, commented Junior Kim McGraw. Picture taking was a big thing, some people even came just to have pictures taken. The background for the Cherished Night was made up of stars, a half-moon and the clouds. Smiles were abundant as nervous couples waited to be photographed under a shining moon. Around 11 o'clock students con- gregated watching impatiently as the King, Queen and their court were in- troduced. Among the court were Seniors Tony DeLisio and Michelle Dyer, two Green Joint Vocational students chosen to serve among the court.
