t« 1 i LCDR GEORGE E.SINEATH, U.S. Navy [xecutive Officer LCDR SINEATH began his Naval career as an enlisted man, serving with a rating as engineman. His duties as an engineman include service on the USS PRESERVER (ARS-8) and with the Harbor Defense Unit in Cristobal, Canal Zone. Then in 1955 he was selected for Officer ' s Candidate School in Newport, Rhode Island. Since his graduation Mr. Sineath has served in the Weapons Department on the USS MURRAY (DDE-576) out of Norfolk, Virginia, as Executive Officer of the USS NIMBLE (MSO-459) in the Caribbean, and just prior to the EVERSOLE, in the Naval Science Department at the University of Southern California at Berkeley. He has received 2 years of schooling in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Southern Carolina and a BS in Naval Science from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School at Monterey, California. Mdiay Commander JOHN E. RENN, U.S. Navy Commanding Officer CDR RENN graduated from the U.S. Naval academy in June 1945. Priortotak- ing command of the EVERSOLE he served as Executive Officer of U.S. Naval Com- munications Station, Morocco. Previous duties include: Armed Forces Staff Col- lege, Executive Officer USS WEDDER- BURN (DD-684), Staff Commander Carrier Division 19, NORAD Headquar- ters, Colorado Springs, Commanding Of- ficer of USS FIRM (MSO-444), Staff Commander Amphibious Group TWO, and Post Graduate School, Annapolis, Com- munication Electronic Course. He has also served on board USS T.E. FRASER (DM-24), USS QUICK (DMS-32), and USS GENDREAU (DE-639). CDR RENN is married to the former Olive R. Polcar, and they have three children, Barbara Lee, 17, Susan Kay, 14, and Stephen John, 12,

Prior to taking command of Destroyer Division 232, he served at sea on the USS RANDALL (APA-224), USS FRE- MONT (APA-44), USS SULLI- VANS (DD-537), USS AMMEN (DD-527), and USS PETERSON (DE-152), serving as Executive Officer and Commanding Officer of the last 2 vessels respectively. Ashore Captain HUNTER at- tended flight training at Corpus Christi and Pensacola, served as an instructor for the Gunnery Department at the U.S. Naval Academy, and was Administra- tive Secretary for JCS at the Pentagon. He also attended the U.S. Naval War College in 1956 and 1964. Captain HUNTER is married to the former Margaret T. Garcia, and they have three children; Kathleen (16), Steven (14) and Kenneth (9).
