STUDE T At the state convention held at Chicago's Sheraton Hotel in April, the Student Council again did itself proud when the year's projects and progress were outlined. Little known to Evergreen students is that the coun- cil controls and budgets all school funds in addition to serving as the central governing body of all school organizations. The bonfire, held in honor of the school's homecoming, was perhaps one of the council's most successful proj- ects. The 1958-59 student council will also be remembered by future seniors as the group that approved the establishment of an hour lunch.
