El-IS Library Gffers More Than Books The lvl 84 lvl, or lvlulTi-Media club, was formed by and wholly associaTed wiTh The library. The club was formed To supporT The library as a place for serious learning. The club advisor and school librarian, PaT Johnson, hoped To see The club promoTe academic acTiviTies, and The sharing of books and maTerials ThaT are of inTeresT To sTudenTs. Anyone was able To join lVlulTi-Media by having a love for learn- ing and meeTing Two acTiviTy projecTs. MosT members of lvlulTi- Ivledia had preseT goals for learning, were highly moTivaTed, en- joyed reading a greaT deal, or did deTailed and clerical work. lVlulTi-Media raised money in many ways: by selling m 84 m's, flowers, sTuffed animals, friendship balloons and grams, and having paper drives. lvlulTi-Media boughT a copy machine for The library which was made available To The enTire sTudenT body. Recycling newspapers and pop cans helped To keep The cosT of using The copy machine down To minimal cosT. MulTi-Media funds also helped The library To purchase exTra books oTherwise noT avail- able. There were many changes beginning To Take place in The EHS library. One of Them was a new check-ouT sysTem conTrolled by compuTers. CompuTers made iT easier for The library and sTudenTs To keep Track of books. Ideas were being Taken inTo consideraTion on how To remodel The library. Also added were more compuTers wiTh beTTer sysTems, which were also available To sTudenTs. by Dianne Corey Q Robyn Nlarcum helps a sTudenT find The righT friendship balloon. 92 Library fMulTi-Media my i....
