Theynhave quite o iob to fulfill which includes ushering and crowd control at oll our home games and assemblies. They also have various other iobs around the school which include keeping the grounds in neat, clean condition. SPAR TREE CHAPTER is if Spar Tree Chapter of the National Senior Honor So- ciety held a initiation early in the year. Old and new members now total over eighty in number. To be a mem- ber a student must display scholarship, character, leader- ship and service. Scholarship is earned by the grades one receives. To have service, one must have credits earned by doing a service to the school. A committee of teachers make a decision on a students character and SERVES EVERGREEN leadership. In January new oflicers were elected. They are President, Ken Christy, Vice-President, Paul Mc- Taggert, Secretary, Margaret LeMay, Treasurer, Mary Whalen, and Publicity Chairman, Margo King. Miss Lois Baldwin is a willing advisor. Popcorn sales and dances were money-making projects, which helped make pos- sible the presentation of a scholarship to a worthy senior at graduation.

Their activities include regular meetings and workshops which are held to make toys for handicapped children. They also take trips to schools for handicapped children. Spades interest is based upon helping these people. Among outside activities are the annual all city dance, Concalves, Council meet- ings and Pal Parties. The sponsors of Spades are Kiwanians. Evergreens advisor is Mr. Hedstrom, Kiwanis sponsor Mrs. Leland Henderson, and otticers are President Diane Straley, Vice President Barbara Morrison, and Secretary Dorothy Seim. WASCOWITZ COUNSELLORS - WE GUIDE Camp Waskowitz is a district owned camp where sixth grade students are taken to study conservation and outdoor life. High school students interested in working with children, and who like camping are chosen to be junior counselors. It gives the high school students a great experience in working with others.
