SPAR TREE CHAPTER is if Spar Tree Chapter of the National Senior Honor So- ciety held a initiation early in the year. Old and new members now total over eighty in number. To be a mem- ber a student must display scholarship, character, leader- ship and service. Scholarship is earned by the grades one receives. To have service, one must have credits earned by doing a service to the school. A committee of teachers make a decision on a students character and SERVES EVERGREEN leadership. In January new oflicers were elected. They are President, Ken Christy, Vice-President, Paul Mc- Taggert, Secretary, Margaret LeMay, Treasurer, Mary Whalen, and Publicity Chairman, Margo King. Miss Lois Baldwin is a willing advisor. Popcorn sales and dances were money-making projects, which helped make pos- sible the presentation of a scholarship to a worthy senior at graduation.
