BACK: Jerry Osman. FRONT ROW: Paul McDonald, Bruce Syrstad, Bill Miltimore. The Boys' Club purpose is to promote fellowship and improve citizenship of all boys as well as to stimulate pride in themselves and the school. Evergreen Boys' Club has sponsored many activities this year, such as the Boys' Club dance on November 21. Everyone had a lot of fun at this dance, even a goat named Susy, who was part of the scenery for the barn-like atmosphere. Another activity was an assembly held on October 21, which featured John Fish, cz member of the University of Washington's crewmen, who spoke on his experience in Russia. The Boys' Club also sponsored a fleld day in the spring. It would not have been possible for the Boys' Club to sponsor many activities during the year, if it had not been for the capable leadership of President, Jerry Osman, Vice President, Bill Miltimore, Secretary, Paul McDonald, Treasurer, Bruce Syrstad, and the advisor, Mr. James Dorr. SPAR TREE CHAPTER is if Spar Tree Chapter of the National Senior Honor So- ciety held a initiation early in the year. Old and new members now total over eighty in number. To be a mem- ber a student must display scholarship, character, leader- ship and service. Scholarship is earned by the grades one receives. To have service, one must have credits earned by doing a service to the school. A committee of teachers make a decision on a students character and SERVES EVERGREEN leadership. In January new oflicers were elected. They are President, Ken Christy, Vice-President, Paul Mc- Taggert, Secretary, Margaret LeMay, Treasurer, Mary Whalen, and Publicity Chairman, Margo King. Miss Lois Baldwin is a willing advisor. Popcorn sales and dances were money-making projects, which helped make pos- sible the presentation of a scholarship to a worthy senior at graduation.
