• »Dedication Out of a sense of gratitude and appreciation for long, faithful and effective service rendered to the children and youth of the Eunice School District, this yearbook is fondly dedicated to F. F. Hardison, our friend and benefactor. During the quarter of a century Mr. Hardison has served on the Eunice School Board (without remuneration) he has devoted much of his time, thought, and effort to the performance of a school board member's part in providing the best in educational opportunities for all who attended the Eunice School. Those who worked closest with him say he was always ready to cooperate in any project or activity that he felt was to the best interest of the school, but he also was unwavering in his stand against pressure when he felt that he was standing for the best interest of the children. Mr. Hardison, we salute you on work well done.MARINA STUBBLEFIELDADMINISTRATIONThe world now probably looks to you like the place where you will find your chance to help solve man's age-old problem of raising himself up to the level planned by the Creator. That is the way we had hoped you would want to look at your future, for the chief objective of the Board of Education and faculty of the Eunice Schools has been to help you lay a foundation in that direction. We had wanted you to get knowledge, a desire for the better things in life, and the wisdom that would lead you to make stepping stones out of failures; we had hoped you would cultivate a desire to serve humanity and to do whatever you could toward peace and good will on a world basis. May this year be positive proof of what individuals working cooperatively can accomplish. Believing this will be found true, I wish to express my sincere thanks to all who have helped to make this school year pleasant and worthwhile. May the same spirit that has in the past fifty years built our community out of a desert continue to guide all of us. Seniors, may the richest blessings of life be yours and may this annual remind you that you have not finished your education; rather, having left the outgrown shell of early youth here, you are ready to go out equipped to meet adult life creditably.
