DWAYNE lim...- 11 DREW VINCENT President CRAIG BEAIRSTO Vice-President HERENDEEN Secretary 1-6 fd ' Every boy in EHS is a member of the Axe- men's Council, a service organization, headed this year by President Drew Vincent. Assisting him was his cabinet vice-president, Craig Be- airstog secretary-treasurer, Dwayne Herendeeng special weeks chairman, Mike Keating, pro- gram chairman, lim Edwardsg and noon enter- tainment chairman, Warren Knutson. One representative is chosen from each roll room to form the governing body ot the Council. Presidents of clubs with more than a sixty per cent boy membership, automatically become representatives. Throughout the year the Axemen's Council sponsors school-wide activities. Hello Week starts off the year with a get acquainted pro- gram of noon dances and an assembly present- ing school personalities. Row I: D. Herendeen, M. Keating, G. Wiley, I. Gregor, N. Fendrich, V. Moell ' ' ' Axe Handles, the student directory, was pub- lished under the direction of Craig Beairsto, as a non-profit service to the school. One of the outstanding features of the year was a concert-dance given by the Alaskan Band and co-sponsored by the Axemen's Council and the Band Parents Association. The highlight of Be-Up Clean-Up Week was an assembly given by the boys which was en- joyed by the girls. During the year the Axemen's Council spon- sored noon movies and noon dances, alternat- ing with intramural basketball games, to round the activities tor an average week. In February an assembly was given for the boys by the Council. Dave Knox, Oregon's lun- ior First Citizen, spoke on college lite and gen- eral preparation tor schooling after graduation from EHS.
