Baumer Through the Night is a mysteryfeomedy with a plot that exposes the stability of a family when murder strikes. While entertaining in his summer home, prior to the coming marriage of his niece, the master of the house is killed by his business man' ager. The murderer cleverly disguises his crime and shifts suspicion upon the Owl, a prowler in the summerfcolony vicinity. After the Owl begins to, help the poor and establishes his innocence, the murderer turns the ray of guilt to a strange and charming but absentfminded guest, Bunny. The awkward assistf ance of the village police results in the escape of the murderer while the stranger is more directly inf volved.
