Two run to state One sport to which much attention should be given is cross-country. The girls on this team were hard workers having to be because of the strenuous training program. The girls ran five to eight miles in a typical workout. A Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors ran together, which made a more com- .51 petitive spirit. Some of the regular leaders of the team were Ellen Buck, who placed 14th in the State Meet, and Jeanine Swoboda, who took 21st at State. The determined team finished their season with an impressive record of 3 0 in dual meets. They also finished second in the Kenston Invitational, and third in both the Willoughby South Invitational and the Highland Sectionals. The cross'country team should be proud of their outstanding record. 0 ' -Q 'Y If jig' , 1 ' V2 51345 1 lik - 3 Front Row fL to R2 Monica Pockar, Donna Zupan, Kathie Brown Row 2 KL to RJ: Coach Dan Maxson, Kim Stegh Tammy Ware, Jeanine Swoboda, Beth Kupfer. 28
