In an effort to achieve a better council, the senior high school adopted parliamentary procedure, which introduced a new official, the parliamentarian, Clyde McLennan. Other officers for the school year were president, Betsy Baker; vice president, Pam McCall; and secretary-treasurer. Jack Whitt. Pam McCall and Steve Enyeart were chosen to represent EPHS at the twenty-first annual student council convention held at Fort Collins in October. On January 30, the four executive officers attended a league Student Councilmeeting in LaSalle, and on March 20 the group met at Estes Park to discuss a sportsmanship trophy for the league, exchange assemblies, code of ethics, and socials after games. Among the variety of beneficial acts performed by the senior council was a Christmas party given at the American Legion to the Midwest Childrens' Home.
