MOUNTAINEER The MOUNTAINEER staff worked diligently to publish many outstanding, first-rate newspapers, including a striking, two-color Christmas edition. A special sports edition was devoted entirely to a recap of the year's sports activities. In the fall of'54,most of the staff members attended a journalism conference in Boulder. Each of the journalism students took his turn at being an associate editor. Members of the MOUNTAINEER staff were: Irene Hyatt, editor-in-chief; Cathy Preignitz and Laurel Enyeart, associate editors; Roberta Brodie, exchange editor; Gary Hossack, circulation manager; Laurel Enyeart, art editor; Chuck Rundquist, sports editor; Cynthia McCracken, file clerk; and Don Holt, Lorraine Welch, Sandra Thelin, and Edith Wol-pert reporters.
