If your answer was an enthusiastic y O ' ' either question, you ore a perfect condi- dote for becoming a member of the Creative Writing Club. Creotie Writing Club is a great place to read your short stories and poems, continued Mark Korondo You ger constructive criticisms . Being in the Creative Writing Club wQS like having a family of writers to help you whenever you needed it. Anyone who liked ro write or need- ed helpful hints on their creative writ- ing could stop by and get help. But the Creative Writing Club was not the only place where you could get some helping hands. If you hove ever walked into your English class, noticing ot the lost moment that you forgot your Scarlet Letter, you will greatly benefit from the club, the Student Store. This establishment sup- plied the students with any neces- sary materials. The membership was completely voluntary, and the members often spent their lunch or break serving the school. Asian Club presidenr Tuon Troung Serving O.C. Three of our mosr ocrive service orgonizorions were Core Kids, Mecho, and Jusr Soy No! A new club, the Asian Club, was also starred in rhe fall. Core Kids was a group of Esroncio srudenrs dedicored ro enlightening chil dren obout rhe effects of drugs and olcohol They reached our to younger students through special sessions. Mecha Club ' s primary goals were to make the Hisponic students owore of their heritage and to serve the commu- nity. They encouraged Hispanic stu- dents to remoin in school ond to build confidence in themselves. Just Say Noi worked at bettering the condition of tomorrow ' s teens. The members of this club went to a local elementory school. We are working with younger people to catch them before they have a chance to stort with any bad habits, sold club mem- ber Kris Choi The Asion Club, new to Esroncio, wos very active. It was formed to pro- mote awareness of rhe Asian culture. The food tasting put on by the club was a very successful evenr wirh lots of customers.
