Counseling office helpers and reocher aides basically had similar jobs and similar free rime. Counseling office helpers deliv- ered call slips, filed things such as schedule changes, answered phones, and did orher office work Teacher oides helped correct resrs, ran off copies, and sometimes ran errands. Blackburn added, It helps me become fomiliar with office proce- dures. Blackburn enjoyed being a coun- seling helper not only because of the free time to do homework but also because she enjoyed delivering coll slips and seeing all her friends while delivering. Being a counseling helper is good for a furure business career-especial- ly in running a school. Deing a reoch- er assistant is o good experience for someone who wishes to be a teach- er of high school subjects.
